The Power of Forgiveness

When you realise that we are all spiritual beings, a spark of the God force in our truest sense, you begin to see life very differently.
You come to understand that every soul, no matter who they are, where they come from, or what colour their skin is, is ultimately the same as you. An expression of God experiencing life within this 3D reality of restriction.
Some souls are more evolved, some less so. It doesn’t really matter. All are divine, and that includes animals too. When you start to view life through this lens, the trials and tribulations of the world lose much of their weight. You begin to see them with a softer eye. After all, we are all here to work through our “stuff”.
I used to let very small things get to me. Someone cutting me up on a roundabout. Someone not saying thank you. And if I’m honest, out of all the things I have had to work on, these everyday frustrations have been some of the hardest to overcome.
But now I let them go.
I know they are not important. Why should I rot my soul over another divine being’s lack of awareness or understanding? It is my choice how I respond, and I no longer choose to carry it.
Forgiveness gives you a certain lightness. You no longer need to store every slight or frustration deep within your heart. Not only does forgiveness liberate the person you are forgiving from dark sentiments that shoot their way from you when you get frustrated with them, it frees you as well. It removes weight from your spirit and leaves you with far less baggage to carry.
And that matters more than you might think.
If you truly want to see clearly, you need to be light within yourself. You need to clear away as much negativity as possible. You don’t need to be perfect, and you certainly don’t need to be a saint, but you do need to keep your inner state as clean as you can.
Try to cultivate forgiveness in your daily life. Start with the small things, then over time begin to look at the bigger things you find harder to forgive. Ask yourself what the other person’s motives might have been. Remember that you also make mistakes, just like everyone else.
It isn’t easy.
But if you want to harness your true spiritual power, forgiveness is something you must take seriously. If you want celestial energy to flow through you, you must become a clear conduit for it. And that begins with letting go.
Forgive everyone, no matter how difficult it may seem.
