Before We Arrive

I am delighted to soon become a first time Dad. While I am enjoying the prospect of meeting my daughter here in the world, I am also intrigued by the part before she became "our baby".

I believe that prior to our incarnation on this earth, we choose the circumstances we will be born under according to the mission we will be here to achieve. I believe that my soon to be born daughter has chosen us as there is something we can provide her with to best achieve her purpose here.

With this in mind, I am looking forward to supporting her and nurturing her talents and dreams.

You see, the earth is a school. I know that sounds rather cliché now, but I honestly believe it is. We incarnate here to achieve something. It could be humility, patience, unconditional love, its unique to each and every one of us.

This is why I believe we should help not hinder each other. There is no competition, we are all moving towards achieving a preset goal before we came here, so where's the competition?

Unfortunately our ego quickly sucks us into this reality as our be all and end all. When in fact, we are just visitors, here for a brief moment to achieve something, then just like that we will be off again.

When you come to realise that this life is merely a lesson, you'll stop taking things so seriously. The worry and anxiety will all start to dissipate.

I am often asked "but how do I know what it is I am meant to be doing here", and I always answer the same way, "what brings you happiness?". Deep, deep down, you already know the answer the this question. But due to our conditioning, from our parents, school, friends or whoever, we have been given a set of filters to look at life a certain way. If you could achieve anything, and money wasn't an issue, what would it be? You know the answer, so what are you going to do about it?

I wish you al love and light. Sergio.
